    On the Home Front

As family, friends, teachers, and school support staff enrolled in the military service of Canada during the Second World War, students in Canada were busy supporting their efforts on the home front. School groups from across the country contributed in a variety of ways. Scrap drives, knitting programs, food shares, Red Cross packages, letter writing, and fundraising for special supplies were some of the main endeavors.
