    Tooth Decay a Problem for a Majority of Children

    From May to December of 1910, more than 13,000 children were inspected for medical and dental conditions. In addition to identifying diseases of the eyes, ears and skin, the school nurses found that more than 12,000 children had significant tooth decay.
