The Syllabus: A Manual for Training

The Strathcona Trust produced three syllabus’ or manuals that outlined everything from marching, running, jumping and breathing exercises, to the hygiene of physical training, classroom exercises, and suitable dress for girls. It was very thorough and enabled schools to introduce physical education as a regular subject into the curriculum.
