    A Valuable Contribution

The loss of C.A.B. Brown was profound for the Toronto Board of Education. His financial leadership and apparent ability to support the good causes with tremendous success had allowed great things to happen for the students and communities of Toronto. Reforms that reached beyond the classroom into areas of personal and social development such as the Penny Bank, helped to create a well-balanced student who was ready both academically and financially to make valuable contributions to his and her society.
