    Student Misconduct

In the case of the beating of Letitia Wright by Niagara Street School Head Master F.S. Spence, Spence’s claim was that Letitia was sent to him by her classroom teacher for misconduct; that she was removed to the hall only after multiple refusals to respond to questioning, at which time he whipped her at several intervals on the legs. Spence denied tying her hands and feet with cord to a wall peg.
